The Tier 1 (Investor) visa was predominantly designed for high-net-worth individuals with a minimum investment of £2million who were looking to relocate to the UK, either alone or with family members.

Can I still extend my Tier 1 Investor visa?

We can help you. It’s what we do.

Overview

The Tier 1 (Investor) visa was predominantly designed for high-net-worth individuals with a minimum investment of £2million who were looking to relocate to the UK, either alone or with family members. The Tier 1 Investor visa closed to new applicants after 17 February 2022.

Extension

We can still help existing visa holders, as you are entitled to apply for extension and indefinite leave to remain, subject to meeting the conditions of the visa. Should you need to make changes to your visa and/or investments, we can provide an end-to-end service which includes introduction to a panel of regulated financial institutions who are familiar with the Tier 1 Investor route, facilitation of tax advice and accountancy, education consultancy for the children, if applicable and the home office immigration application.

Indefinite leave to remain

Tier 1 Investor visa holders can be eligible for indefinite leave to remain. If you made an investment of £2m into qualifying investments, you will usually be eligible at the end of the 5 year period from the initial application. If you made an investment of £5m, this will be 3 years and if you invested £10m or more, you can apply after 2 years. You must have spent continuous period of five years in the UK and must have spent no more than 180 days outside the UK in any 12 months. You must also meet the English language requirement and pass the Life in the UK test.
